Spencer Yarnell Head of Spreading the Herd Word
Hello Winnipeg!
These days the sun is shining, everyone is smiling a little more and there’s that summertime feeling that anything is possible. Here at IBEX we specialize in taking that feeling seriously. This year IBEX is back at it with Clean Your Green and the campaign is called Move the Greenometer!
The purpose of the Move the Greenometer campaign is to show that when a community comes together, we can make change, one step at a time! Together we can clean up a garden of the city and help a hard-working Winnipeg family get some decent housing.
During the month of June IBEX employees and helpful community members will be mulching, weeding, planting, and cleaning up the garden just South of the Osborne underpass, meanwhile businesses and individuals will be asked to support their hard work by donating to Habitat for Humanity.
Here’s the thing though, the volunteers will only clean 1 m. of the garden for every $130.89 raised. That means the garden will act as a visual meter for our progress through the campaign, and yes that means sometimes we will have beautiful gardens right next to weed city.
So stay tuned Winnipeg! June is bound to be an awesome month!

IBEX Payroll extends our profound respect and immeasurable gratitude to all the ancestors and keepers of the land on whose traditional territories our work takes place. We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional gathering place of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene people and the traditional homeland of the Métis people. This land is sacred, historical, and significant.
Every time we acknowledge this truth, we have an invitation and an opportunity to reflect on the wrongs of the past, what we do in the present, and what we can do to continually honour the people whose lands and water we benefit from today.
This statement only acts as a first step in honouring the land we reside on and its peoples, and must be paired with education, understanding and informed action.
Why don’t we make it $50 and you can consider it your first donation towards the campaign. 🙂
How much are we hoping to raise?
How much would it cost for me to fill the planter on the front step? 🙂
Why not call it an even 20 for that bad boy? Ha.
