So sometimes things work out strangely.
Like this week. For the whole week we got no donations for Clean Your Green so we thought ‘well no need to clean this Friday since we can’t actually move the Greenometer!’ Well you can guess what happened next. In the space of Thursday we received almost $800 in donations. Fantastic news!
But unfortunately we don’t have our cards lined up to clean the garden tomorrow. So with the most sincerest and heartfelt of apologies we postpone this week’s cleaning to until next week! Stay tuned for payroll people rampaging the streets of Winnipeg.
Some good does come of all this however! Tomorrow is bike to work day! We’ll be posting pictures from our pit stop on Facebook soon so stay tuned for that!
Tell me your stories from biking to work amidst all the hubub tomorrow!
Goatbuzzter out.
IBEX Payroll extends our profound respect and immeasurable gratitude to all the ancestors and keepers of the land on whose traditional territories our work takes place. We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional gathering place of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene people and the traditional homeland of the Métis people. This land is sacred, historical, and significant.
Every time we acknowledge this truth, we have an invitation and an opportunity to reflect on the wrongs of the past, what we do in the present, and what we can do to continually honour the people whose lands and water we benefit from today.
This statement only acts as a first step in honouring the land we reside on and its peoples, and must be paired with education, understanding and informed action.
I couldn’t resist. The bike even makes rev noises when you turn the handle.
You are funny, Spencer!
